Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a skilled treatment that helps children achieve or regain the independence and ability to participate in all facets of their life – play, self-care, school and community participation, and socializing with family and friends.

Pediatric occupational therapy can assist children in learning or relearning functional skills that have yet to develop or have become limited or lost because of injury or illness.

Our highly-skilled occupational therapy team work with families to assist their children in learning or redeveloping these crucial functional skills.

Pediatric occupational therapy and rehabilitation can assist with issues such as:

  • Development of hand-eye coordination
  • Oral skills for eating
  • Coordination of the whole body and
  • Feeling comfortable with the positioning and movement of their body during daily activities

The Journey. The Growth.

The Next Level.

Our mission is to provide our clients with caring, effective, and efficient service that will allow them to achieve a higher quality of life. We provide training and support to implement home therapy programs that ensure treatment continues at home and in other settings.

These skills are reinforced by progressive work alongside our team of occupational therapists on the child’s ability to pay attention, remain calm and learn self-care techniques such as personal grooming, personal hygiene, and dressing themselves. All of these techniques can be achieved through a personalized therapy regime developed alongside families to ensure comfort and ease on the child.

Our goal is to work with the whole family to develop successful cooperative behavior patterns and affective problem-solving skills. Occupational therapy gives children and their families skills for the job of living necessary for independent, fulfilling and satisfying lives and getting back to living a full, happy life.
